THE COMPOSER SHERIFF NORM WINTER
A NEW WORD MEANING ASSYMETICAL THE INNER PULSE OF CREATION

Norman Charles Winter, AKA Sheriff Norm, is a legendary figure in Hawaii's music, radio, and pop culture history. He earned his iconic status through two major contributions to the islands' music scene: Jelly's Comics and Books and Radio Free Hawaii, The name ‘sheriff’ came from his Radio Free Hawaii days when he was called ‘Sheriff Norm, here to eradicate all air hogs criminals from ever scouring the airways ever again.’‘ All overplayed songs based on the negative votes of Radio Free Hawaii’s weekly voting system, were brutally executed by Sheriff Norm via a sledgehammer, never to be played again on Radio Free Hawaii. The execution came during the weekly countdown of the most wanted to be heard songs on Hawaiian radio by the listeners’ weekly ballots.
Sheriff Norm said, “Radio is the most powerful media there is, but is dead now. It was dying in the nineties because the major record companies were keeping the new exciting music of the independent record companies from being aired on radio. I challenged the major record companies’ control by creating a ballot system. Each week, listeners voted for the ten songs they wanted to hear, three songs they did not want to hear, and one song they believed could become a hit if radio gave it a chance. During the weekly countdown show, we featured five random song discoveries and asked listeners to vote ‘golden ear’ or ‘tin ear.’ The golden-ear winners entered a runoff, and the song discovery of the week was played every two hours the following week. That system helped break artists such as No Doubt, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Sublime, and many others. During our years on the air, Rolling Stone readers voted our station one of the top five medium-market stations in America. You can read the full story of live radio from 1991 to 1997 in a book coming out in October 2027, called Razor True on the Mic, and Mandy and a New America.” And how the station was taken off the air by the Telecommunication aCt of 1996.
And in June of 2027, a sci-fic satire is coming out called, the Spotlight to Heaven.
And in October of this year a musical novel is coming out. . What? A musical novel? Yes, there are Q R codes when the lyrics appear for the twenty-seven songs. You photo the Q R Codes and the music appears as you are reading the novel. The novel is called The Mirrors of Creation. The music within the novel is called Azemetical – the Pulse of Creation. and can be heard on Band Camp free, now. (Put the link here)

THE PREFACE FOR ALL MY NOVELS
Publishers want stories that show, not tell. And they want beautiful prose, not blunt words that lack description.
I’m a blunt writer. I’m not very descriptive. Unless I’m dealing with worlds no one on Earth has ever seen. Or when contrasting cultures and their surroundings are the story itself. Only then will I go about and give a smidgen of description about the surroundings.
I tell more than I show. Storytelling is a telling art. I write prologues in blunt clarity to inform readers where the story is coming from. For even when my stories start in our times on Earth, they come from a place the reader has never imagined.
Nor do I have self-control. Things burst out, interrupting my stories with philosophical tirades, and economic, political and physics theories that should be blatantly obvious to everyone. Yet, scientists, politicians and economists have deliberately blinded themselves to them.
The only thing you will probably digest is my rage. If you digest more, you are doing better than me.
If you think my stories are unbelievable? Sorry. They are unstoppable avalanches plunging over cliff after cliff. They are real! How do I know? I’m buried beneath them. I must follow the story no matter how hard it is for me to swallow it. No matter how much sacrifice I must endure. For the story leads itself! It has no mercy for me. I must crash and burn to follow.
I gradually surrendered to the thought: There is no fiction. There is no non-fiction. There is only the story, real somewhere, somewhere else but a dream. But that else place is no place different at all.
Obviously, no current publisher will publish my novels. So, my publisher is the alias me:

During the quiet solitude of the pandemic lockdown, Norm bought a piano and taught himself to play in the back room of Idea’s Music & Books. After countless days and nights spent composing melodies, he gathered a group of collaborators he calls The Five Winds, and began recording with Kali Navales (lead singer of reggae band Ooklah the Moc) and his daughter, Hana Marie Navales. Together, they brought to life the soundscape of Norm’s forthcoming novel, The Mirrors Of Creation.
A story drenched in beauty, music, and sacrifice: a father looks to the night sky, living as both a newborn star and a homeless man on Earth—existing in two dimensions of time at once. Beneath the stars, he shares tales of the "Living Stars" with his daughter. When he reveals the heartbreaking truth—that his mother star has sacrificed herself to the nothingness of Earth—his daughter pledges to help him find her and save her from fading into oblivion forever.
"AZEMETICAL"—a word coined by Norm, meaning asymmetrical squared—is the pulse of creation.
The album features 22 original tracks,
